I started this project in 2020, shortly after moving to Amsterdam. I was immediately struck by how unique and beautiful each house in the city is. As I spent more time exploring, I felt the urge to do something with that fascination. I began photographing these buildings and placing them in new, simplified settings where the architecture could really speak for itself, without the usual visual clutter.

Each series is presented as a trilogy. Some are very minimal, showing the house against a soft sky. Others place the building in an entirely different environment. The goal is always to let the details of each house take centre stage.

The entire project is made using my own photography. All pictures are real and there is no AI involved. It grew out of a genuine curiosity and a desire to connect more deeply with the city. At the time, film work had slowed down because of COVID, and I wanted to spend my time on something meaningful and creatively fulfilling.
